布朗宁 Elizabeth Barrett Browning(1806-1861)，英国维多利亚时代抒情女诗人。她15岁时骑马摔伤脊椎，常年不能行走，39岁时违背父命与罗伯特·布朗宁成婚，并在伟大的爱情感召下重新站了起来。
1838年，她以诗集《天使及其他诗歌》成名。她的代表作包括社会诗《孩子们的哭声》、赠给丈夫的真挚感人的爱情诗《葡萄牙十四行诗集》和无韵叙事长诗《奥罗拉·利》（11，000行）等。她的诗集《最后诗抄》在她死后出版。

克里斯托弗·马洛Christopher Marlowe（1564-1593），英国16世纪伟大的诗人和剧作家，“大学才子派”中年纪最小、贡献最大的一个。主要戏剧作品有《帖木儿大帝》《马耳他的犹太人》等。他的作品充满浪漫主义色彩，不仅有辉煌壮丽、刚劲有力的一面，也有对柔美爱情的描写和对旖旎田园风光的抒怀。马洛是英国文艺复兴时期杰出的戏剧家，他较为松散的戏剧结构打破了传统的悲喜剧界限，而他较为自由的无韵体则使戏剧的表现力得到了极大的提高，他的戏剧为莎士比亚的辉煌成就奠定了基础。
